Goblin’s Stronghold

Right before her eyes, Isolda the Birdra’s friend was abducted by a winged goblin. Though her eyes burn with revenge, she lacks the strength. What? You want me to help? You mean I have to go up there?

Side Quest Prerequisites

Main Quest: “Neighbors with Wings” must be completed.

Side Quest Activation Conditions

After completing “Neighbors with Wings,” enter Abies Path in the Kruiro region to trigger the quest.

1. Help the weakened Birdra

Talk to the Bardra named Izolda who is sitting on the ground.

2. Infiltrate the enemy’s territory

When ready, talk to Izolda again.

Climb the ladder to reach Goblin Stronghold - Main Gate.

Enter Goblin Stronghold 1F-1, then proceed straight to 2F-1.

From here on, this guide will refer to 2F-1 as “In Front of the Great Door.”

3-1. Insert the key into the left pedestal

From 1F-1, enter 1F Outer Area via the green door on the left.

Examine the bridge, then return to Izolda at the Great Door and talk to her.

Return to 1F Outer Area and inspect the bridge again to obtain the “Goblin Stronghold Note.”

Go from the Great Door to 2F-3 and examine either of the two floor switches.

Defeat the four goblins in the room.

Return to Izolda and speak with her again.

Go back to 2F-3, examine the switch, and proceed through the newly opened path to 2F-4.

In 3F Control Room 1, pull the levers in the following order:
2 - 1 - 5 - 4 - 3

(These numbers are noted on the “Goblin Stronghold Note.”)

(Operate the second lever from the left first, then the leftmost, and so on until the middle lever—#5.)

If you make a mistake, enemies will appear and you must leave the room before you can try again.

From the left exit of 2F-4, access 2F-2.

Enter 1F Outer Area, proceed past the bridge into the Rest Area, and defeat three goblins.

They drop the Goblin Chest Key—be sure to pick it up.

From the right exit in 1F Outer Area, return to 1F-1.

Go to 2F-2 and inspect the cliff at the end of the narrow path on the left.

Defeat the four goblins there.

Return to Izolda and speak to her again.

Head back to 2F-2 and approach the cliff area to open a new path.

Proceed to 3F Prison.

Defeat the three goblins to the left and pull the switch.

Open the chest in the now-unlocked prison cell to obtain Shining Ore and Fine Sturdy Wood.

In the prison next to the chest, inspect the wall to enter 3F Control Room 1.

Open the chest inside to obtain Goblin Stronghold Key B.

Go to 2F-3, enter 3F Poison Swamp.

From the upper-left door, enter Control Room 2 to find a chest containing Goblin Stronghold Key A.

From the upper-right door, enter another section of Control Room 2 and pull the switch to assist Izolda.

A poisonous path extends further to the right; follow it to find a treasure chest containing 3000 Gold.

Advance past the opened door on the right side of the Great Door area; you will get trapped.

Examine the pedestal to use the keys.

Proceed to B1F for consecutive battles:

Defeat 2 Giant Slimes
Then 2 Giant Myconids
Then 2 Imps

Once all are defeated, the door opens.

In the center room, open the chest to obtain a High Healing Potion and the Goblin Stronghold Map.

Return via the left exit to 2F-1 (in front of the Great Door) and activate the switch.

Use the key on the pedestal.

3-3. Enter the Final Room

Inspect the Great Door to enter 2F - Innermost Chamber, triggering a boss battle.

Bring plenty of healing items as the battle will be intense.

First, defeat 7 Goblins.

Be careful not to get surrounded by their numbers.

After the initial 7 are down, one revives and 4 Giant Goblins appear as reinforcements.

Izolda joins the battle as backup.

Defeat all 5 Goblins to clear the side quest “The Feathered Goblin’s Stronghold.”

After completing the quest, Izolda and Feodora will reside permanently in Private Room A on the Upper Floor of the Hyann Connecting Hall.

You can also invite Izolda and Feodora to a house you have built.
